Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful contract opportunity working with students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a supportive educational environment near Warren, MI. This position is available for an immediate start, with the potential to extend into the fall term. The role offers flexibility — opt for 4-5 days per week or discuss part-time scheduling based on your availability, averaging approximately 30 hours per week. With a manageable caseload of about 52 children, you'll make a positive difference in the lives of young learners.
Qualifications and Preferred Background:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Holds or is eligible for ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or completing/has completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) Licensed or ability to obtain licensure for SLP practice in Michigan Experience working in school-based or pediatric settings is highly valued Passion for supporting students with a variety of communication challenges Strong communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for students with speech, language, voice, or fluency disorders Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports for each student on your caseload Consult and collaborate with classroom teachers, resource staff, and families Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams Foster a positive and engaged learning environment for your students This opportunity allows you to work closely with dedicated colleagues, positively impact students' development, and enjoy a consistent, flexible schedule.
