Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Expectations:
Provide speech and language evaluations and therapy services to students. Develop and implement individualized treatment goals based on student needs. Monitor and document student progress and adjust interventions as appropriate. Administer and interpret standardized assessments, such as the CELF-5, GFTA-3, and other appropriate assessment tools. Prepare accurate, thorough, and timely evaluation reports and required documentation. Collaborate with teachers, parents, school teams, and other related service providers. Participate in IEP meetings and contribute clinical expertise to educational planning. Maintain timely and accurate documentation and meet all required deadlines. Provide engaging, creative, and student-centered virtual therapy. 🌈
