Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity serving K-5 students with speech-language needs for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time role provides the chance to deliver meaningful support in a vibrant educational environment near Elk River, MN. With a dedicated focus on direct SLP services and involvement in the IEP process, you'll be key in helping students communicate and succeed.
What You'll Need:
Current Speech-Language Pathologist license (ASHA CCC required) Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings Strong understanding of direct intervention and developing IEPs Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to provide supervision to support staff, including Tier 2 SLPs Proficiency with due process paperwork and case management
Your Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to approximately 57 K-5 students Conduct assessments, develop and manage IEPs, and maintain documentation Actively participate in IEP meetings and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams Oversee and support a Tier 2 SLP at a nearby secondary campus Communicate regularly with staff and families to monitor student progress Complete required paperwork in a timely and compliant manner
