What they do

A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Madelia Health is seeking a Casual/PRN SLP to provide services for acute/swing bed patients and outpatients in need of speech therapy. This person will have the opportunity to develop and grow the position as appropriate.

$24.69 - $44.52 (Based on Experience and Certifications)

Master's Degree (Preferred)
Experience:
1 year (Preferred)
Certifications:
Speech Therapy License (MN) Background study and pre-employment drug testing required.
Responsibilities :
Makes clinical judgments based on data gathered in evaluation Generates a therapy diagnosis and plan of care Involves patient and family in establishing goals of treatment Designs, implements, and modifies individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient's needs Coordinates, communicates, and documents per program, regulatory and professional standards Utilizes both standardized and informal testing to determine best treatment for patient
