Key Qualifications:
Hold a current Minnesota Speech-Language Pathologist license (required) Experience working with early childhood populations, preferably in a school-based setting Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills Comfortable managing a caseload of preschool-age children receiving Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) services Demonstrated ability to engage with diverse students, families, and staff A passion for early intervention and a commitment to evidence-based practice
Primary Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and provide direct therapy to children ages 3-5 identified with speech and language needs Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and evaluations for ECSE eligibility Maintain detailed and accurate records in compliance with state and district guidelines Provide consultation and support to classroom staff and caregivers Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students This contract role runs from late August to early June, offering a consistent MondayFriday schedule with 37.5 hours per week and the fulfillment that comes from supporting early learners at a pivotal time in their development.
