9650217-55082 Job Description Empower students and support their communication needs by bringing your expertise as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist to an engaging contract assignment. This full-time, extended school year opportunity involves working with an elementary caseload and making a meaningful impact at multiple sites. Initially, youll help cover a maternity leave at one elementary location, assisting students with a variety of speech and language needs and collaborating closely with a dedicated team. After this first phase (ending around Thanksgiving break), your assignment will shift to other buildings as neededwhether filling short-term vacancies or providing compensatory services for students who missed sessions previously due to staffing gaps. Candidates should be adaptable and flexible, ready to step in wherever strong SLP services are most needed. Key Qualifications Active Minnesota State Speech-Language Pathology License required ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) Previous experience in school settings, especially with elementary-aged students, strongly preferred Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and caseloads Strong collaboration skills to work with educators, families, and fellow specialists Core Responsibilities Provide direct speech and language therapy to students according to their IEPs Conduct assessments and maintain thorough documentation Develop treatment/intervention plans and measurable goals Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary collaborations Adjust to changing school assignments as needed and deliver compensatory or make-up services Enhance your professional journey, make a difference in young lives, and gain exposure to various schools and student needs through this evolving assignment.
