Job Description

Make a real impact on student communication in a contract role supporting elementary learners. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to provide on-site services at an elementary school setting, working with a diverse caseload. Youll collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams as you help studentsmany of whom are non-verbal and use AAC devicesreach important milestones in their communication skills.
Key Qualifications:
Active Missouri SLP or SLPA license required. Experience supporting school-aged children, preferably in an educational setting. Familiarity with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices highly valued. Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing district needs; assignment may include up to two local schools. District-mandated fingerprinting and submission of TCN, plus district technology form required prior to start. Strong communication and collaboration abilities, able to work closely with teachers and support staff. Commitment to uphold district standards and provide high-quality, inclusive services.
Core Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech and language interventions to students in an elementary school environment. Support a caseload representing approximately 3400 total service minutes, with a significant focus on non-verbal students. Develop, implement, and monitor therapy plans, completing all documentation in accordance with district requirements. Consult with staff and families to promote carryover of communication strategies. Conduct evaluations, contribute to IEP meetings, and participate in collaborative problem-solving. Offer potential support at an additional assigned school as needs arise.
