SSM Health Rehabilitation Network SSM Health St. Mary's Acute Care Richmond Heights, MO Full-time (FTE) Float SSM Health Rehabilitation Network is seeking a full-time, licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) , or a Clinical Fellow eligible for certification, to join our highly collaborative Regional Speech Department as a Float Speech-Language Pathologist . This unique position offers the opportunity to provide care across a variety of settings, including acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and home health , serving a diverse patient population throughout the greater St. Louis region. Preference may be given to candidates who have completed clinical rotations or have prior experience within the SSM Health Rehabilitation Network. Evaluate patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and patient needs. Provide evidence-based speech-language pathology services across acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and home health settings. Assess, treat, and manage swallowing, communication, cognitive-linguistic, and voice disorders. Direct and supervise discipline-specific therapy services as appropriate. Design functional treatment programs that promote safe discharge and return to community participation. Educate patients, caregivers, students, and interdisciplinary team members. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, program development, and professional growth activities. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.Qualifications:
Required Current Missouri Speech-Language Pathology license, or eligibility for state licensure. Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility to complete Clinical Fellowship requirements. Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between assigned locations. Preferred Experience independently performing and interpreting: Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS/MBS) Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) Prior experience in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, home health, or medically complex adult populations.Additional Data:
