Job Description

The Rehabilitation Hospital of Montana in Billings seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment for adults recovering from stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, orthopedic conditions, and other complex medical needs. In this onsite inpatient role, you will assess speech, language, cognition, and swallowing; design evidence-based treatment plans; and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to help patients regain independence. You will educate patients and families, document progress, and use advanced rehab technologies in a collaborative, learning-focused environment. Responsibilities Evaluate speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders for inpatient rehab patients. Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans aligned with rehab goals. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapists on interdisciplinary care plans. Educate patients and families on communication and swallowing strategies and home programs. Document assessments, progress notes, and discharge recommendations in the EMR accurately and timely. Participate in team conferences and contribute to goal setting and discharge planning. Use advanced rehabilitation technologies and tools to support patient recovery. Provide input into quality improvement and best-practice initiatives within the rehab program.
