Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a welcoming school-based environment. This opening, conveniently located within 35 minutes east of Winston-Salem, runs from August 26, 2026, through June 10, 2027. Both experienced SLPs and those working toward their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are encouraged to apply. Full-time (35 hours/week) and part-time arrangements are available to fit various work/life needs, with reasonable caseloads ranging from 45 to 50 students.

Key Qualifications:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active state licensure (or eligibility) for North Carolina CCC-SLP credential from ASHA preferred, but strong CFYs will be considered Prior experience in pediatric, school, or healthcare SLP settings valuable Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills Commitment to evidence-based and student-centered intervention

Role Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students with communication and swallowing disorders Deliver direct and consultative therapy aligned with IEP goals and school requirements Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to monitor progress and adapt interventions Maintain detailed records and participate in IEP/504 meetings as needed Support the overall speech-language program through data collection, resource sharing, and proactive communication Perks of this
