What they do
A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required Active state license to practice as an SLP in North Carolina Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellows (SLP-CF) are welcome to apply and will be provided appropriate supervision SLPA credentials are not accepted for this role Experience working with students on the autism spectrum (AU) and those with low cognitive disabilities is strongly preferred Availability for a full-time schedule during the 2026-2027 academic yearYour Responsibilities:
Work with student caseloads up to 35, providing evaluation, diagnosis, and ongoing therapy services Develop and implement individualized therapy plans, collaborating with educators and families Engage in IEP planning and documentation to support student communication goals Maintain thorough and accurate records in compliance with school and district policies Participate actively in professional development opportunities, staff meetings, and district initiativesBenefits:
