Job Description

This contract opportunity is perfect for passionate Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) interested in supporting students near Mocksville, NC. Full-time roles begin in the fall of 2026 and extend through the school year.
Two key coverage needs exist:
fill a maternity leave from October to December 2026 (serving both a middle and elementary school), then transition to cover a retirement from January to June 2027 (primarily at the elementary level). Together, these roles offer the chance to make a meaningful difference for students across grade levels and needs. What you'll bring: Active or eligible NC SLP license ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) Experience with pediatric populations and/or previous school-based work Comfort supporting caseloads of approximately 45-55 students Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices Strong organizational and communication skills Primary responsibilities: Provide speech and language evaluation, therapy, and consultation services Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring for all students Serve both general education students and those in self-contained classrooms utilizing communication devices Adapt to two distinct coverage assignments:
October-December:
2 days/week with a middle school caseload, 2 days/week at elementary
January-June:
