7681305-27560 Job Description Step into an opportunity at a dynamic school located in the energetic core of Durhams blossoming downtown. This full-time, onsite contract position serves middle and high school students, providing vital speech-language therapy services during the academic year. The schedule runs Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. New graduates working toward their Clinical Fellowship (CF) are encouraged to apply, making this a perfect place for early career SLPs to gain invaluable experience while surrounded by a supportive professional community.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Eligibility for North Carolina licensure as an SLP Open to Clinical Fellows (CF) as well as those holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Experience with school-aged populations, particularly middle and high school students, preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with speech, language, and communication needs Deliver evidence-based speech-language therapy services in a school setting Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and other specialists to foster student growth Monitor, document, and report on student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and actively contribute to an inclusive school environment
