Overview Speech Language Pathologist - Acute Care in a corrections setting is available for a travel temporary assignment in Mount Olive, North Carolina, United States. Corrections Responsibilities Perform comprehensive assessments of speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing as referrals arise. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans aimed at improving communication and swallowing function. Deliver direct therapy to individuals and small groups, adapting approaches to the correctional setting and patient needs. Document evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes in the patient record; ensure accuracy and timely updates. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including nursing, medical staff, mental health, and social services to coordinate patient care. Adhere to facility policies on privacy, safety, infection control, and security; participate in care planning meetings as needed. Assist with discharge planning and referrals to appropriate services when clinically indicated.
