A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

This contract position offers the chance to work closely with students and educators, providing essential communication support through on-site and teletherapy services. Ideal candidates hold their SLP-CCC or are Clinical Fellows seeking an environment focused on collaboration, mentorship, and impactful student outcomes. This full-time role extends from ASAP through late May 2027, providing ample time to build meaningful relationships and contribute to student success.

Qualifications and Experience:

Valid SLP-CCC or Clinical Fellow (CFY) status Proficiency in school-based service delivery and IEP processes Experience with pediatric caseloads, ideally in educational or healthcare settings Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and best practices for remote service provision Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills Ability to collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive speech and language assessments and therapy for students aged preschool through high school Participate in the development, implementation, and review of IEPs Apply evidence-based practices in both direct and teletherapy formats Consult with educators and caregivers to support carry-over of skills Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and district policies Contribute to a positive learning environment and advocate for student needs
