A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.
CourtBloom Community, Inc. is a New Hampshire 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing charitable and educational youth-development programming through tennis, pickleball, physical activity, mentorship, and wellness initiatives, with a particular focus on underserved children and families. We are seeking a part-time pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our programming team in a unique, nonclinical role. At CourtBloom, we believe youth programming should do more than teach a sport. We want every child to feel known, encouraged, challenged, and excited to come back. Our model pairs professional tennis instruction with strong child-development expertise so that children receive both high-quality instruction and a consistently positive, supportive experience. The tennis professional leads technical tennis instruction. The SLP brings professional expertise in child development, communication, social-emotional growth, engagement, play, and adapting to the needs of individual children. This role takes real ownership of the child's experience. That includes building strong relationships, supporting confidence and independence, helping children navigate frustration and peer interactions, recognizing when a child needs a different approach, and communicating meaningfully with parents and caregivers. This is not a clinical SLP position. There are no evaluations, diagnoses, treatment plans, billing requirements, or therapy notes. We are looking for an SLP who wants to apply their professional expertise in an active, creative, play-based environment without taking on another traditional clinical caseload. Schedule — approximately 6 hours per week Wednesday, 4:00-6:00 PM — Laconia, NH Saturday, 11:30 AM-1:30 PM — Franklin, NH Sunday, 11:30 AM-1:30 PM — Franklin, NH The position will begin as an 8-week pilot. Based on the success of the pilot and available funding, there may be an opportunity for the role to continue and/or expand as CourtBloom grows its programming. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with children, communicates well with families, brings strong professional judgment, and is comfortable taking ownership when a child is struggling to engage, connect, or thrive. Tennis experience is not required. We provide the tennis expertise. We are looking for someone who brings exceptional expertise in children.
