Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a school-based role supporting students from PreK through 12th grade as a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC). This position provides coverage for a medical leave with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in an inclusive educational setting. The assignment begins on October 1, 2026, and runs through November 20, 2026, with the possibility to extend through the end of the semester. You'll work on-site only, collaborating with dedicated educational professionals and serving a caseload of approximately 40 students—including some nonverbal students and those who benefit from low-tech augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices.

Key Qualifications:

Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) Valid New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) Certification School-based SLP experience strongly preferred Proficiency supporting nonverbal students and familiarity with low-tech AAC devices Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills Commitment to in-person service delivery

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver speech-language therapy and evaluations to a diverse PreK-12 caseload Develop individualized education program (IEP) goals in collaboration with the team Consult with teachers and staff on language, communication, and AAC supports Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation in a timely manner Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with families and multidisciplinary staff Shadow the current SLP before their leave to ensure a smooth transition You'll enjoy the chance to work alongside caring colleagues, gain valuable pediatric school experience, and provide life-changing support to students in need.
