Since then, we have expanded to five locations, allowing us to provide high-end, professional care to both active-duty military and civilian families. Our compassionate and knowledgeable staff specialize in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Developmental Delays, Sensory Processing Disorders, and Neurological Impairments . We are dedicated to creating an effective learning environment for clients recovering from injuries resulting in the loss of physical, communicative, and cognitive functioning.
Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist:
Position Overview Exceptional Therapies is seeking an experienced, clinical professional for our Pemberton, NJ office. We are looking for a Full-Time clinician, though we will consider highly qualified Part-Time candidates. You will join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team (SLP, OT, PT, ABA, and Counseling) in an outpatient setting designed to ensure holistic patient outcomes and continuous professional development.
Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist:
Key Responsibilities Comprehensive Evaluations:
Conduct standardized assessments and clinical observations to diagnose speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
Treatment Planning:
Develop and implement individualized Treatment Plans (IEPs and IFSPs) tailored to the unique needs of early intervention, pre-school, and school-aged children.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration:
Participate in integrated care meetings with OTs, PTs, and ABA therapists to ensure a cohesive approach to sensory and neurological rehabilitation .
Clinical Intervention:
Provide evidence-based therapy for: Receptive and Expressive Language Disorders Articulation and Phonological Disorders Social Communication (Pragmatics) and Autism-related delays Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems Feeding and Swallowing (Dysphagia) therapy (if applicable)
Family Training:
Provide parent coaching and education to facilitate carryover of skills into the home and school environments.
Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist:
Required Qualifications Licensure:
Valid New Jersey State License in Speech-Language Pathology .
Certification:
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred; however, exceptional Clinical Fellows (CFY) with pediatric experience may be considered.
Clinical Expertise:
Proven experience working with pediatric populations ranging from Early Intervention (EI) through school-age (K-12).
Specialized Knowledge:
Familiarity with Neurodevelopmental Disorders , sensory-based communication barriers, and cognitive rehabilitation.
Professionalism:
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a high-end, compassionate outpatient facility. The ideal candidate will have experience or interest in the following areas: Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Interventions (NDBI) Executive Functioning and Cognitive-Communication skills Pediatric Outpatient Care and School-Based Therapy Prompt Therapy or other specialized motor-speech interventions
