Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in an educational setting as a Speech-Language Pathologist. In this role, you'll work closely with school staff, parents, and administrators to evaluate student needs and provide vital speech and language therapy. Your expertise will help shape students' communication abilities, directly contributing to their academic and social success.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders Current license or eligibility for licensure as an SLP as required by state regulations ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, or CFY considered Previous experience in a school environment is highly valued Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary educational team Sound organizational and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct formal and informal assessments of students' speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings Track student progress, maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation Participate in IEP meetings, contributing assessment data and recommendations Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to integrate communication goals into the classroom This contract position offers you the chance to make a significant difference in the lives of children in a supportive school environment near Carlsbad, NM.
