A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Master's degree in Communication Disorders, Speech, or Speech Audiology. Active SLP license in NM Hold, or be able to obtain, ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) Positive, energetic, and compassionate approach to education. Willingness to participate in events outside normal hours, travel as needed, and engage actively in the role. Experience working with children and adolescents in a school settingJob Description:

Position Overview:
Provide speech and language therapy services to help students improve communication and learning skills.Essential Functions:
Identify students needing specialized speech or language services and provide tailored solutions for academic success. Conduct individual and group therapy using curriculum-based materials and provide progress reports. Supervise support staff, consult with educators, and provide alternative communication systems. Create engaging learning environments and promote social, physical, and intellectual growth. Explore individual learning needs, develop personalized solutions, and implement curriculum goals.
