Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2025-2026 school year, serving a K-12 school primarily focused on elementary students, with some high school students included. Located in Auburn, NY, this role involves working within a dynamic educational environment dedicated to fostering speech and language development.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough speech and language assessments and develop individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs. Provide direct therapy services, adapting approaches to support diverse learners. Collaborate closely with teachers and staff to implement classroom accommodations and modifications. Monitor and document student progress, making data-driven adjustments to interventions as necessary. Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing to goal development and planning. Offer guidance and support to parents and caregivers to promote consistent therapy outcomes.
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Valid state SLP license or eligibility to obtain licensure. Experience working with school-aged children preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to collaborate effectively. Knowledge of IEP processes and relevant educational laws.
Schedule and Location:
This contract position aligns with the academic calendar, running from September through June, with scheduled hours and vacations consistent with the school year. The job is based in Auburn, NY, offering the chance to work within a supportive community in Upstate New York.
