Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Exciting opportunities await for two dedicated school-based Speech Language Pathologists to support students' communication growth in dynamic educational settings near East Amherst, NY. These contract roles are ideal for professionals passionate about making a positive impact through evidence-based speech therapy. Two full-time positions are currently open: One SLP will split their schedule—approximately 70% in a high school life skills setting and 30% at a nearby non-public school. The schedule runs from 7:30 AM to 2:45 PM, with lunch and planning times provided. The assignment is expected from late October through January 2027. The second SLP will serve students at a middle school, working from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM from early November through the end of January, also with built-in lunch and planning breaks.

Key Qualifications:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders. Current or eligibility for New York SLP licensure. ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates considered. Previous school-based or pediatric SLP experience is highly valued. Strong communication, organization, and collaborative skills.

Essential Role Responsibilities:

Conduct 7-8 individualized 30-minute sessions daily, addressing students' speech and language goals. Assess, document, and monitor student progress. Actively consult with teachers, families, and special education professionals. Develop and implement treatment plans aligned with educational objectives.
