Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in a child's life by providing essential speech-language services to a medically fragile 5th grader. This unique contract opportunity involves working one-on-one with a student in a supportive in-home setting near Lockport, NY. As a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist, you'll have the rewarding chance to tailor your expertise and attention to one student, helping them reach important communication milestones.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Valid state SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence Experience supporting pediatric or medically fragile populations preferred Strong communication, patience, and adaptability for a home-based learning environment Ability to collaborate with families and educational teams for comprehensive care
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct engaging and effective speech-language sessions four times per week, each session lasting 30 minutes Develop, implement, and adjust individualized therapy goals aligned with the student's needs and abilities Monitor progress and provide regular updates and strategies to caregivers Maintain accurate records, session notes, and communication Foster a positive, supportive environment to encourage confidence and growth Why Consider this Role?
