Qualifications:
Hold a valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license issued by the state of New York Previous experience in school settings, especially with K-12 age groups, is highly desirable Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, educators, and parents Ability to manage a diverse caseload with professionalism and adaptability Up-to-date knowledge of best practices and compliance standards in school-based speech therapy
Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade according to their individualized education plans (IEPs) Conduct comprehensive speech/language assessments and document student progress Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to create strategies that foster each students academic and social success Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary teams Maintain detailed records as required by school and state guidelines Enjoy a fulfilling schedule of 37.5 hours per week while benefiting from a supportive team atmosphere.
