Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant Rochester-area school community. This full-time assignment spans from early September through mid-to-late November, with a possibility of extension. Your expertise will help young learners develop essential communication skills, with a focus on articulation and fluency interventions in education classroom settings.

Qualifications and Experience:

Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license and certification for New York Recent experience working in school-based or pediatric settings Strong understanding of strategies for improving articulation and fluency in children Ability to develop and deliver IEP-driven therapy plans Excellent communication skills for collaboration with educators, parents, and staff Familiarity with documentation and progress monitoring in a school environment

Responsibilities:

Provide speech-language therapy services to elementary-aged students, primarily in education classrooms Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with teachers and other support staff Facilitate progress monitoring and prepare documentation for IEP meetings and parental updates Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing observations and recommendations Create a supportive, engaging atmosphere that inspires students' confidence and growth This contract assignment offers the chance to make a meaningful difference during an educator's leave of absence.
