Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding full-time summer assignment supporting students' communication growth. This contract role offers a dynamic opportunity for a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and school-based experience. The position is currently open for the summer term, with potential to continue into the new school year based on successful performance. Onsite support is readily available through a dedicated facilitator who serves as the hands-on resource to help you deliver exceptional speech therapy services.
Key Qualifications:
Hold an active Speech-Language Pathologist license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) Demonstrated experience providing SLP services in school settings Strong knowledge of therapy for school-age communication disorders (articulation, language, fluency, pragmatics) Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills Comfortable working collaboratively with teachers, families, and support staff Experience in conducting assessments, developing IEPs, and implementing evidence-based interventionsPrimary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative speech and language therapy services to K-12 students Assess, diagnose, and document speech-language needs and progress in alignment with school policies Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Collaborate with the onsite facilitator as well as educators and families for smooth service provision Participate in team meetings and share progress with stakeholders Maintain thorough records to meet compliance and reporting requirements This contract position is a fantastic opportunity to build relationships within an educational community and help students achieve meaningful communication goals.
