Responsibilities Purpose of Your Position Provide speech language therapy services to infants' toddlers, preschool and school age children for a minimum of 50 weekly sessions and conduct speech language therapy assessments and evaluations. goal tracking documentation as required by SED/EI and Coleman School policies for quality assurance and accountability purposes Design and monitor assistive technology, adaptive equipment and augmentative communication needs in collaboration with team and family members Implement and monitor feeding programs for children on assigned case load in accordance with Coleman policies and ASHA guidelines for school therapists Serves as clinical instructor and assists with coordination of affiliation programs as needed for speech therapy students Actively participate in the creation and implementation of an individual and School wide Professional Development Plan that inspires personal growth and informs clinical practices Perform other tasks to support the operations of the school as assigned by

School Administration Qualifications Education Requirements:

Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology New York State Speech Language Pathology License NYS Teacher of Speech Hearing Certification National Provider Identifier (NPI) Number - Required Experience Minimum of 1 year pediatric SLP experience

Strong communication skills (verbal and written); good problem-solving skills; strong organizational skills; ability to relate to families and work collaboratively with other agency representatives Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language fluently Must meet or exceed all health standards and requirements for the position as established by NYDOH and all other regulatory agencies Must meet the general health requirements set fourth by the policies of Coleman School which includes a medical and physical examination Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of thirty-five (35) pounds Perform tasks that may involve exposure to the children's blood/body fluids Must be able to assist in the evacuation of children if necessary Must hold valid drivers license and be able to travel safely throughout community

Working Conditions:

Will work in a well-lighted and ventilated area Will be subject to frequent interruptions May be asked to work beyond normal working hours, and in other positions temporarily, when necessary

Hourly Rate:

$70/Hr.
