A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) diagnoses and treats conditions that affect the ability to communicate and swallow. As an expert in communication, you will help assess, diagnose, treat and prevent speech, language, voice and swallowing disorders for our patients. In this role, you can help patients improve their speech, open new communication possibilities and improve their ability to comprehend others, express themselves and swallow safely. Aside from supporting others, you will also have endless opportunities to improve your own skills through Cleveland Clinic's wealth of resources and educational programs. A caregiver in this position works PRN (as needed) from 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. •Hours will vary depending on census A caregiver who excels in this role will: Evaluate and treat patients with injuries and/or diseases which result in a loss or impairment of speech, language, voice, cognitive and/or swallowing function. Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patients' conditions. Establish goals and plans of care. Perform therapy interventions utilizing standard speech therapy techniques and skills. Complete documentation. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Master's Degree Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Program Current Ohio license as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Hold or have applied for the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Experience in a clinical area Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities. Physical Requirements:
Manual dexterity and visual acuity to perform tasks needed for patient care and administrative tasks. Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Range Minimum hourly:
$48.00 Maximum hourly: $48.00 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.). The pay range does not include the value of Cleveland Clinic's benefits package (e.g., healthcare, dental and vision benefits, retirement savings account contributions, etc.).
