A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students throughout the full 26/27 school year. This full-time position offers 37.5 hours each week, providing consistent opportunities to make a difference in the lives of children from kindergarten through 12th grade. Work with a manageable caseload capped at 80 students, allowing for meaningful, individualized support and professional development.

Qualifications:

Current OH SLP license required Accepting both Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) SLPs and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) SLPs Previous experience or training in a school setting preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Commitment to collaborating with educators, families, and school teams

Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality speech and language therapy services to K-12 students Conduct assessments, develop individualized plans, and track student progress Collaborate with general and special education staff to ensure comprehensive student support Participate in IEP meetings and maintain clear, timely documentation Consult with families regarding student needs and progress This contract opportunity enables you to contribute significantly to student development within a supportive school environment.
