Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant educational setting near Shawnee, OK. This position offers an immediate start and runs through May 2027, giving professionals the chance to make a meaningful difference in Pre-K through 5th-grade students' lives. Work 32 hours per week with a consistent schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and collaborate with a supportive team dedicated to fostering communication growth.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid state licensure (or eligibility) in Speech-Language Pathology for schools Experience in educational settings, particularly with Pre-K-5th-grade students (ages 4-10) Strong case management and organizational skills Ability to develop, implement, and monitor individualized student goals Collaborative mindset and experience working on multidisciplinary teams
Core Responsibilities:
Serve as case manager for 17 students, overseeing speech and language services Create and track progress toward goals for a shared caseload of 41 additional students (in collaboration with another SLP) Utilize evidence-based practices to deliver targeted therapy to a diverse elementary-age population Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and Individualized Education Program (IEP) planning Maintain accurate documentation in line with district and legal requirements Engage with staff, families, and other service providers to maximize student outcomes Enjoy a contract position that allows you to focus on direct impact—helping young children gain the communication skills they need to thrive academically and socially.
