Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Ready to make a direct impact on students' lives in a collaborative, supportive setting? Full-time contract openings are available for Speech-Language Pathologists to serve throughout the coming school year. The Speech-Language Services team plays a key role in the Special Education Service Area, working alongside school psychologists, augmentative communication specialists, and behavior consultants to help students with a diverse range of learning and communication needs. Ideal candidates are experienced and flexible, eager to embrace varied assignments and the opportunity to work with students presenting moderate to severe disabilities, as well as those utilizing both low and high-tech augmentative communication systems. Exact school assignments and student caseloads will be determined closer to the start of the academic year, making this an excellent choice if you are open to working with a variety of student populations.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Oregon teaching license with Speech Impaired/Communications Disorder Endorsement, and/or State SLP license Several years of relevant SLP experience (schools-based is preferred) ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred Experience with diverse student populations, particularly students with moderate/severe disabilities Familiarity with low and high-tech augmentative communication devices Valid Oregon Driver's License; possible First Aid/CPR certification Strong oral and written communication and teamwork skills; ability to maintain confidentiality
Responsibilities:
