9536511-97223 Job Description Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist supporting early childhood learners in a vibrant, in-person environment near Portland, OR. Make a positive impact through collaborative work with young students, their families, and educational staffensuring children build essential communication skills during formative years. This contract position begins as soon as possible and extends through September 2026, with a potential to continue.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field Valid SLP license for Oregon; Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required Previous experience in a school or early childhood setting is a plus Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Eagerness to collaborate with educators, support staff, and families Commitment to evidence-based, student-centered practice
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for speech, language, and communication disorders in early childhood students Develop goals and treatment plans tailored to each student's needs Document progress and maintain clear, accurate records according to district guidelines Consult and coordinate with teachers, specialists, and administrators Deliver direct and consultative services to students as part of an Individual Education Plan (IEP) team Participate in eligibility, IEP, and parent meetings, sharing expertise and recommendations Stay current with best practices and professional development in speech-language pathology Enjoy the opportunity to foster meaningful growth in young learners, working with supportive colleagues at a welcoming early learning center.
