Job Description

Are you a Speech-Language Pathologist looking for a part-time pediatric outpatient SLP position with flexibility, autonomy, and a supportive clinical environment? Communication Beginnings, LLC is growing our team of pediatric Speech-Language Pathologists and is looking for a PA-licensed SLP to provide individualized speech and language therapy in our Harrisburg-area office . We are a small, SLP-owned and operated pediatric speech therapy practice focused on providing compassionate, creative, and individualized care. Our clinicians work one-on-one with children and collaborate closely with families to help each child make meaningful progress. This is an excellent opportunity for an SLP who wants to maintain flexibility while building a pediatric outpatient caseload at a comfortable pace.

As part of our team, you will have: Flexible part-time scheduling The ability to grow your caseload gradually A primarily after-school schedule No weekend requirement Access to a variety of therapy materials and clinical resources A comfortable, child-friendly office environment A collaborative team of pediatric clinicians Support from an SLP-owned practice Opportunity for continued professional growth What You'll Do The SLP in this position will provide evidence-based speech and language services to pediatric clients with a variety of communication needs.
Responsibilities include:
Conduct individualized speech, language, and communication therapy based on each child's plan of care Develop engaging, age-appropriate treatment activities targeting individual client goals Provide one-on-one outpatient therapy in an office setting Monitor client progress and adjust treatment approaches as appropriate Communicate with parents and caregivers regarding therapy progress and recommendations Collaborate with other professionals involved in a child's care when appropriate Complete daily treatment documentation and required clinical paperwork Complete progress reports, re-evaluations, and plan-of-care documentation as needed Follow current best practices and maintain professional knowledge in pediatric speech-language pathology Complete required onboarding and training Maintain all professional licensure, certifications, clearances, and insurance requirements Ideal Candidate We are looking for an SLP who enjoys working with children and values individualized, relationship-based care.
The ideal candidate will have:
Active Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathology license ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) Pediatric speech and language therapy experience preferred Approximately 2+ years of pediatric clinical experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organization and time-management abilities Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with families and other providers A creative and engaging approach to pediatric therapy Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality clinical care Required Credentials & Clearances Candidates must be able to provide current: Pennsylvania SLP license

clearance Pennsylvania Child Abuse clearance Pennsylvania State Police clearance Mandated Reporter training Professional liability insurance Current CPR certification Schedule & Work-Life Balance This position is particularly well suited for an SLP seeking part-time pediatric outpatient work , an after-school schedule, or a flexible 1099 opportunity. Our primary need is for weekday afternoon availability between 3:00 and 6:00 PM , although daytime hours may be available depending on caseload needs. You choose the hours that work best for you! No weekends required. As an independent contractor, this position offers the flexibility to determine your preferred schedule and gradually build a caseload that fits your availability.
