Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Discover a rewarding opportunity working as a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) serving elementary school students. This contract position calls for a passionate professional to work in person two days per week, dedicating one day to each of our two elementary buildings near Jermyn, PA. If you have experience in pediatric speech-language pathology and are eager to impact young learners' communication skills, you'll find this role fulfilling and meaningful.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP), with eligibility for state licensure Experience in school settings or pediatric environments strongly preferred Open to Clinical Fellowship (CFY) candidates; ongoing supervision available Proficient or willing to learn IEP Writer software Ability to engage and motivate young children in both individual and group settings Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with educators and families
Your Responsibilities:
Provide direct assessment and therapy services to elementary-aged students Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs Document progress, maintain accurate records, and complete necessary paperwork utilizing IEP Writer Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, support staff, and administrators Travel between two elementary sites, delivering services in person as scheduled Offer guidance and support to students, staff, and families to foster effective communication Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as required Embrace the chance to make a difference in the lives of young learners with diverse speech and language needs, while enjoying a part-time, flexible commitment.
