Aug 17, 2026 Job Description Olentangy Schools is seeking qualified candidates for a Speech and Language Pathologist position(s) available within Olentangy Schools for the 2026-27 school year. The speech language pathologist provides for the identification, diagnosis, and remediation of communication disorders to help students achieve maximum benefit from the educational program. Encourages parental involvement. Qualified candidates will be employed through the Educational Service Center of Central Ohio (ESCCO) and must hold or be eligible for valid and appropriate licensure for each position with the Ohio State Department of Education and Workforce. Employment status: Certified, 185-day employment contract Qualifications for the position include: Valid speech language pathologist license or certificate (professional board and Ohio Department of Education and Workforce0 Meets all mandated health requirements Documentation of a clear criminal record Complies with drug-free workplace rules and board policies Training and/or experience in behavioral management techniques is preferred Ability to cope with stressful traffic, weather conditions, and passenger distractions
NOTE:
This assignment may require a valid driver's license and access/availability of a reliable vehicle. Employees must meet all prerequisite and ongoing qualifications to be covered by the service center's insurance carrier. Alternative to the above qualifications as Superintendent and/or Board of Education may find appropriate External candidates must submit an external online application in Applicant Tracking (SchoolSpring) and complete an online Teacher Candidate Assessment. In addition, a letter of interest and current resume must be uploaded within the Attachments section of the application. The online Teacher Candidate Assessment is sent via a link under separate email cover. On occasion, the email may end up in junk or spam mail. Keep in mind that the Teacher Candidate Assessment is a timed assessment, so please set aside approximately 45 minutes of uninterrupted time before you begin the process. Once the assessment is started, it must be completed within the designated time frame, and multiple attempts to complete the assessment are not permitted.
