9672814-78109 Job Description Make a meaningful impact supporting students communication and access needs in a part-time hybrid opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist. This unique contract position focuses on both direct and indirect assistive technology (AT) support for a high school student utilizing advanced eye-gaze technology with an Accent device, combined with additional evaluation responsibilities for private school referrals. Your expertise will be put to use with a flexible hybrid schedule, spending most of your week working remotely but visiting the campus in person for hands-on AT support and device management two hours weekly. Most responsibilities can be completed remotely, allowing you an ideal blend of independence and collaborative, student-centered engagement.
What Were Looking For:
Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology Active Texas SLP license (Texas Dept. of Licensing and Regulation) ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility based on supervised hours completed Proficiency with eye-gaze devices, specifically programming, calibration, and maintenance of the Accent device Experience providing direct and consultative support in educational settings Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments for private school referrals Excellent collaborative and communication skills for supporting the educational team
What Youll Do:
Provide in-person AT support two hours per week on campus Program, calibrate, and maintain the Accent eye-gaze device to maximize student access Offer ongoing indirect support, training, and consult for staff and team members remotely Complete required evaluations and documentation promptly and thoroughly Set your own schedule for most duties and enjoy the professional satisfaction of helping a student achieve their greatest independence.
