Job Description

If you've witnessed the shortage of Speech-Language Pathologists, you understand how deeply this crisis affects students, educators, and school communities. At Scoot Education, you'll use your expertise to help solve this critical challenge—ensuring schools have access to high-quality speech professionals who deliver the services students urgently need, while building a career that values your experience and impact. As a Speech Language Pathology (SLP) Lead Recruiter, you won't just fill roles—you'll create thoughtful, lasting matches that strengthen school teams, support staff, and positively impact students every single day. About the Role This is a hybrid role based in Los Angeles, Oakland, or San Diego, CA, with three days in-office and two days remote each week. As a SLP Lead Recruiter, you will play a key role in building and scaling Scoot's Speech Services offerings. You'll own the full recruitment lifecycle while acting as a consultant and partner to both schools and individual clinicians. values Lead full-cycle recruitment for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) Support the hiring for other Related Service Providers (ex: Board Certified Behavior Analysts) Vet, hire, and place high-quality speech professionals with Scoot's partner schools Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with SLPs and SLPAs Serve as a strategic partner to schools as they navigate urgent staffing needs Develop meaningful relationships with school leaders and key decision-makers Deliver a high-touch, personalized experience that leads to successful, long-term placements Ensure providers and schools feel supported throughout the entire placement lifecycle This role is ideal for someone who understands Speech-Language Pathology, how Related Service Providers operate in school environments, how to recruit, hire and retain these speech professionals, and is motivated by creating meaningful, lasting impact in education. Perks + Benefits $80,000-90,000/year with Bonuses. This is an exempt role. This range applies to non-clinical candidates; significantly higher compensation is offered for candidates with a clinical background (e.g., Speech-Language Pathologist). Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company contribution Hybrid work schedule (3 days in office / 2 days remote) Incentive programs for exceeding expectations Flexible Time Off (FTO) The opportunity to be part of an organization deeply committed to education and to supporting one another About You The ideal candidate will bring: 3+ years of experience recruiting Speech professionals AND/OR direct experience as a Speech Language Pathologist Strong working knowledge of Speech Language Pathology and Special Education, including: Speech, behavior, and other related services How specialized providers operate within a school setting The IEP process Familiarity with certification, licensure, and compliance requirements for Speech professional Exceptional organizational, administrative, and technology skills Strong communication, relationship-building, and consulting abilities High attention to detail and follow-through A track record of delivering excellent outcomes for candidates and partners Resilience, adaptability, and a growth mindset You will stand out if you: Have experience as a Speech Language Pathologist Have recruited or hired for SLPs and SLPAs roles within school settings Have hands-on experience with the IEP process Have experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) Are highly comfortable navigating multiple technology platforms Have a proven track record of success in recruitment or talent placement Why us?
