A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity where your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist can make a genuine impact in a school-based setting. This assigned role offers the chance to support students' communication needs and help them unlock their full potential. Your advanced skills as an SLP with the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) will be key in providing assessment, intervention, and collaboration with educators to improve student outcomes. You'll play an active role in developing individualized therapy plans, facilitating progress, and fostering a positive learning environment for each child you serve. What we're looking for: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current SLP license in Rhode Island ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required Previous school-based experience preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities Compassion, patience, and commitment to supporting diverse student needs Responsibilities include: Conducting evaluations and re-evaluations to identify communication disorders Creating and implementing targeted therapy plans based on student IEPs Coordinating care with classroom teachers, special educators, and families Tracking and documenting student progress in accordance with school and federal guidelines Attending and actively participating in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams Offering support and education to staff and family members as needed Experience the satisfaction of helping students in a supportive environment, with the flexibility that comes from a contract position.
