Job Description

About us Strides Behavioral Services is dedicated to providing the highest quality individualized care based on principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Our goal is to enrich the lives of the clients and families we service by providing high standards of training, family centered care and support, and high quality individualized care. We are seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team at our ABA clinic located in Warwick, RI. The SLP will work closely with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), and families to support communication development and functional language skills in children receiving ABA services. Responsibilities Provide individual and small group speech-language therapy to children Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations to determine children's needs Develop and implement speech-language goals in accordance with child's treatment plan Collaborate with BCBAs, BT's/RBT's and families Support children using AAC systems, PECS, and other communication tools Document child progress and maintain Medicaid billing and compliance documentation Participate in staff and clinical meetings Provide training and support to staff on communication strategies in the clinic Qualifications (SLP) Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology Must hold current ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) or be eligible for ASHA certification (CFY's encouraged to apply, supervision provided) Must be licensed or eligible for licensure through RI Department of Health Licensed or eligible for licensure through RI Department of Education Working knowledge of or experience with Applied Behavior Analysis Have experience working with individuals exhibiting challenging behavior Excellent written and verbal communication Basic computer knowledge Must pass a BCI and CANTs screening
