Job Description

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) $50 - $65 per hour
Location:
Myrtle Beach, SC Are you a passionate SLP ready to trade clinic walls for the freedom of in-home therapy in beautiful Myrtle Beach, South Carolina? If so, we'd love for you to join our team! Spoken Word Children's Therapy is a family-led practice with locations in Myrtle Beach and Charleston. Founded over 13 years ago, we provide personalized speech and occupational therapy services in children's homes, daycares, and natural community settings. Voted "Best Therapy Practice" for 2024 and 2025 by HealthLinks Magazine.
Key Responsibilities:
Therapeutic Activities:
Lead engaging, effective therapy sessions to build speech, language, communication, and feeding/swallowing skills. Incorporate fun, play-based activities — including time on the porch or in the yard — to target expressive and receptive language, articulation, social communication, voice, fluency, and oral motor skills.
Customized Care:
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's unique needs and family goals, such as improving talking and understanding, building vocabulary, enhancing social interactions, supporting feeding and swallowing, and developing pre-literacy skills.
Collaborative Care:
Partner closely with parents, caregivers, and daycare staff to integrate therapy goals into daily routines, ensuring meaningful carryover and generalization of skills across home, school, and community settings.
Progress Monitoring:
Maintain accurate documentation of sessions, track developmental milestones and progress, and adjust treatment approaches as needed to deliver the high-quality, personalized "Spoken Word difference" in every visit. Education:
Master's degree (or higher) from an accredited
Speech-Language Pathology Program Licensure:
Current (or eligible) South Carolina state licensure as a
Speech-Language Pathologist Experience:
