Position Overview $30 - $42/hour based on experience Top technicians can earn toward the higher end of the range Take-home company vehicle + gas card Primarily service & troubleshooting (not install-heavy) Work on true commercial systems + refrigeration equipment Steady, year-round work (no seasonal slowdowns) Strong support from experienced PMs and leadership Opportunity to grow into senior technician or lead roles Sylvester & Cockrum is hiring a Commercial HVAC & Refrigeration Service Technician to support our growing Myrtle Beach service team. This is a field-based service role where you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems across a variety of facilities including retail, hospitality, and industrial environments. What You'll Be Doing Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems Perform preventive maintenance and service work Work on systems such as: Walk-in coolers/freezers Ice machines and refrigeration equipment Rooftop units (RTUs) and split systems Heat pumps and DX systems Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control systems Communicate clearly with customers and provide solutions Maintain accurate service documentation and job records What We're Looking For 5+ years of HVAC and/or refrigeration service experience Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability Experience working independently in a service truck Knowledge of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems EPA Universal Certification Valid driver's license Commercial HVAC service technicians Refrigeration technicians (restaurant, grocery, etc.) Benefits Competitive Pay Comprehensive health insurance (including dental and vision) Health Saving Account with company contribution Paid Life Insurance 401(k) plan with company matching Generous paid time off Paid Holidays Professional development assistance Employee discount Company Truck Fuel Card Employee Assistance Program (EAP) About Sylvester & Cockrum Company Overview In 1985, Sylvester & Cockrum was founded as a full-service mechanical contractor.
