A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Synergy Children's Therapy is currently looking for a speech pathologist interested in working with wonderful clients. This is a 1099 contract position and the ideal candidate would be willing to accept incoming and established clients to provide effective, efficient, one-on-one therapy. We are looking for a therapist who is experienced in working with school-aged children, as well as preschool children (1-4 years of age). Responsibilities:
  • Assess and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in individuals of all ages.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address clients' specific needs.
  • Provide therapy sessions to improve clients' speech and language skills.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and educators, to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Provide counseling and support to clients and their families.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes.
Experience:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
  • Valid state license or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Previous experience working as a Speech-Language Pathologist is preferred.
  • Knowledge of various assessment tools and therapy techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
