A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Our Mission is to serve as a pediatric therapy company with heart designed to help Utah children and families develop through developmental play, authentic engagement, strength-based methods, interdisciplinary teams, and innovative approaches. If yes, then Ability Innovations is for you! We are looking for someone to cover a maternity leave from August 1, 2026 - December 4, 2026. This could lead to a part-time or building to full-time position within the company. Ability Innovations is a pediatric multi-specialty therapy clinic developed by an Occupational Therapist who understands you and what you do. You'll get to work with an exceptional interdisciplinary team that blends Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech Therapy services together to create a whole-child development strategy. About us
Speech Therapists:
Assesses and evaluates a child's condition and family dynamics in conjunction with the physician's order and current standards of practice. Provides appropriate intervention including treatment related to the established plan of care with appropriate duration and intensity. Educates and trains clients and their families. Accepts assignments from administration and/or Team Lead including caseload, productivity standard, education and in-servicing others, orientation and training new employees, supervising and training students, and supervising CFs and Aides. Communicates through written chart notes, evaluations, progress reports, and discharge summaries regarding patient's status, any complications, prognosis, new client counseling, and plans for follow-up care. Participates in regularly scheduled or special clinical meetings related to patient care and clinic management. Maintains appropriate team and interdisciplinary relationships. Maintains therapy spaces to facilitate appropriate standards of care. Adhere to documentation and role-based policies and procedures. Maintains clinical competency in the theory and practice of Speech and Language Pathology. Work on maintaining and enhancing the Core Values within the Ability Innovations.
