About Karter Little Wins Karter Little Wins is an early intervention special needs preschool providing educational and therapeutic services to children with a variety of developmental needs. Our multidisciplinary environment brings together educators and clinical professionals to support each child's individual growth and development. Opportunity Karter Little Wins is seeking a Virginia-licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) interested in providing speech and language services to children enrolled in our Ashburn program on an independent-contractor basis. This opportunity is ideal for an SLP who maintains an independent practice, works with other organizations, or is looking to add pediatric clients to an existing caseload. The SLP will exercise independent professional judgment in evaluating clients, developing treatment recommendations, providing therapy, and determining appropriate clinical methodologies within the SLP's scope of practice. Services The independent contractor may provide services including: Speech and language evaluations and assessments Individual and small-group therapy, when clinically appropriate Development of individualized treatment goals and recommendations Treatment addressing expressive and receptive language, articulation, social/pragmatic communication, and other communication needs within the SLP's professional scope Clinical documentation and progress reports Parent/guardian consultation and education, as appropriate Collaboration and care coordination with other professionals supporting the child Recommendations regarding frequency, duration, and modification of speech-language services based on professional judgment Flexible Scheduling The SLP will provide Karter Little Wins with their independently determined availability and may accept clients based on that availability. Weekday availability during program hours is helpful due to the ages of the children served; however, the contractor will determine the days and times they are available to provide services. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program Current Virginia license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist CCC-SLP preferred Pediatric experience preferred Experience supporting children with autism, developmental delays, communication disorders, or other special needs is a plus Strong clinical documentation and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with families and other professionals Maintain professional liability insurance and any other credentials required to independently provide services This opportunity is intended to establish an independent professional services relationship rather than an employer-employee relationship. The SLP will maintain control over their professional methods and clinical judgment, subject to applicable laws, licensing requirements, professional standards, client treatment plans, and facility health and safety requirements. The contractor is responsible for maintaining applicable licenses, credentials, professional liability insurance, taxes, and other obligations associated with operating as an independent contractor.
