Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist position is available for the 26/27 school year, serving K-12 students in Patrick Springs, VA. This contract role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic school environment, supporting a diverse caseload of students with speech and language needs.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for K-12 students. Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student evaluations, progress, and reports. Participate in team meetings, IEP development, and provide guidance on speech-language goals. Provide direct therapy sessions to improve communication skills, including articulation, fluency, voice, and language comprehension. Monitor and adjust interventions based on student progress and changing needs.
Qualifications:
Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Experience working with K-12 student populations in educational settings. Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders and evidence-based intervention techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with students, families, and staff. Ability to manage a full caseload effectively and maintain detailed records.
