Job Description

A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity near Winchester, VA invites you to provide meaningful support to students in a dynamic educational environment. This contract role runs through May 28th, 2027, offering the chance to make a sustained difference across multiple school sites. You'll work alongside a supportive team of professionals, building relationships and fostering communication skills in children and adolescents.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in Virginia Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA Previous experience in a school setting preferred Strong communication, organizational, and documentation abilities Commitment to working onsite within school environments

Core Responsibilities:

Deliver assessments, direct therapy, and progress monitoring for students with diverse speech/language needs Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Consult regularly with teachers, parents, and administrators on students' communication goals and progress Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in accordance with district and state requirements Provide guidance and education regarding speech/language development to school staff and families Embrace opportunities for professional development and contribute to a positive school culture
