Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in education by providing speech-language pathology services to students in a supportive academic environment. This part-time contract position offers approximately 20 hours per week and can be paired with a nearby union for those seeking a full-time role. Depending on your interests and expertise, there is flexibility to work with elementary or high school caseloads, making this a tailored opportunity for dedicated professionals passionate about student growth and achievement.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current Vermont SLP license (or eligibility to obtain before starting) ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred Prior experience working in school-based settings is advantageous Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities Comfortable adapting therapy approaches for various age groups and needs
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and assess students for speech, language, voice, or fluency disorders Develop and implement targeted therapy plans for assigned caseload Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support each student's communication goals Document progress, maintain accurate student records, and provide input for IEP teams Offer strategies and techniques to help students access curriculum and communicate confidently Adapt interventions to best fit individual and classroom objectives
