Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for patients across various age groups, including early intervention and school-aged children. Develop individualized speech-language therapy plans tailored to each patient's unique needs and goals. Implement evidence-based therapy techniques to improve speech clarity, language comprehension, voice function, fluency, and swallowing abilities. Collaborate closely with parents, caregivers, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive treatment strategies and optimal patient outcomes. Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems to document assessments, treatment progress, and patient interactions accurately. Provide telehealth therapy sessions utilizing secure platforms to expand access and convenience for patients who prefer remote care. Educate patients and families about speech-language disorders, physiology, anatomy relevant to communication issues, and strategies for ongoing support outside therapy sessions. Requirements Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). Proven experience working with pediatric populations and individuals with disabilities or speech impairments. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to speech-language pathology. Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive assessments and develop effective treatment plans aligned with best practices in pediatrics and geriatrics. Experience implementing speech therapy techniques for diverse conditions such as articulation disorders, language delays, voice disorders, fluency issues, and swallowing impairments. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation purposes. Telehealth experience is highly desirable; ability to adapt therapy methods for virtual delivery is essential. Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach to multidisciplinary teamwork.
