Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year, serving K-12 students in a dynamic school setting near Puyallup, WA. This onsite-only, contract-based opportunity offers a chance to make a meaningful impact from September 1, 2026, through June 23, 2027, with a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) Valid Washington State SLP licensure, or willingness to obtain one before the school year begins Completion of Washington ESA credentials or demonstrated progress towards obtaining them Fingerprinted through OSPI, or prepared to complete the process as required School-based SLP experience preferred, especially in K-12 settings Strong communication and collaboration skillsKey Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the speech and language needs of students across a diverse K-12 caseload Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's unique goals Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support academic and social success Maintain accurate and timely documentation of progress, assessments, and services Participate in eligibility and IEP meetings, providing expert input and advocacy for students Serve as a resource to school staff regarding strategies for supporting students with communication disorders Enjoy an engaging, supportive work environment where your expertise empowers students to reach their fullest potential.
