Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, experience working with pediatric populations, and a passion for helping children improve their communication abilities.
Key ResponsibilitiesWork under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
Provide direct speech and language therapy services as directed by the supervising SLP.Assist with implementing individualized treatment plans for clients with speech and language disorders.
Conduct speech and language screenings as directed by the supervising SLP.Document client progress toward treatment goals and communicate updates to the supervising SLP.Support the coordination of evaluation, treatment, and clinical activities.
Prepare therapy materials and maintain therapy equipment and supplies.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and professional development activities.
Follow all applicable professional, ethical, legal, and state licensing regulations.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Required QualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, Communicative Disorders, or a related field.
Minimum of 1 year of verifiable professional experience as an SLPA within the past 3 years.
Relevant residency or clinical practicum experience may be considered.
Active and valid California Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) License.
Ability to work effectively under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
Preferred QualificationsExperience working with pediatric populations.
Experience in early intervention or school-based settings.
Familiarity with evidence-based speech and language therapeutic approaches.
